If you have been on Android for awhile, you know the official Twitter client isn't exactly "great". It's slow, outdated, but offers one of the best experiences available on Android in a Twitter client. That is, until you try Tweedle.
Tweedle is a highly customizable lightweight client for Twitter, that offers a whole bunch of useful features while maintaining a clean, fast interface for all users on Android 2.3 and higher.
- customizable theming
- lightweight Holo interface
- inline image loading
- multiple account support
- support for Twitlonger and multiple image uploads
- free, no ads, no hassle
Tweedle utilizes poll notifications with a Jellybean style expanded notification option as well, making it fit in with Android so well. The theme can be customized to be literally any color, by selection or manual code entry. If only more apps had this option, I would turn everything orange.
The application lets you customize almost everything about it. From poll notification settings, to appearance and theme settings, to 3rd party image handlers and SSL support. Tweedle just recently added Muting, which can sensor keywords from your timeline. It's really useful for those days when you #Don'tCareAboutTrends or #SpecificTrendsBeginToAnnoyYou.
I
have had the pleasure of finding Tweedle, and I hope that anyone
reading this who uses Twitter will give it a shot. It fits in with
Android so well, it's so fast, and can be customized to your liking. For anyone looking at a new Twitter client, be sure to check this out.
