Well the folks over at XDA wasted zero time sharing a clockworkmod flashable zip for Ubuntu on The Nexus 4. Thanks to Brenix at XDA there are simple directions for us to take the plunge and get some of that beautiful Ubuntu on our Nexus 4's.
1. Download quantal-preinstalled-armel+mako.zip and quantal-preinstalled-phablet-armhf.zip from: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-tou...ntal/mwc-demo/
2. Push files to sdcard
3. Reboot into recovery (using CWM here..)
4. Flash quantal-preinstalled-armel+mako.zip
5. Flash quantal-preinstalled-phablet-armhf.zip
6. Reboot and enjoy

P.S.: This method retains CWM recovery. I haven't tried flashing the imgs via fastboot yet though..

Here is the link for the XDA thread if you have any questions for Brenix.
More to come for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 so stay tuned folks!
